Jimmy Coates: Killer is a story about a young boy, Jimmy Coates, and his journey to discover who he is. He discovers the truth in this book: that he is only 38% human, and the other 62% of him is robot. He is genetically designed to be an assassin, a killer, for the British Government. Also, his parents are agents for NJ7, the government agency that designed him. In this book, Jimmy decides that he doesn’t want to be a killer, and falls in with Christopher Viggo, his original target. This book is all about Jimmy’s decision and rescuing his family.

This book was a good example of an action genre book. The writer’s imagination for what Jimmy can do is amazing, completely impossible for real humans. The way Jimmy thinks is well related to what an 11 year old boy would really do in those situations, how they  would act, feel, say etc. They layout of the plot was interesting, because it would have Jimmy’s opinion of something, and then another opinion from a different character. It’s a great book.

In my opinion, this book has no flaws or faults.

My favourite character is Georgie, Jimmy’s sister. She’s not afraid to make her own choices and act on them. She’s a confident, witty, and she’s willing to do anything in the face of danger. The complexion of her personality is very realistic. She’s a great character.

In conclusion, I believe that this is a good book to read if you want a change in genre.  Joe Craig does a great job of writing a good book. I would rate this book 10/10, and it is a good book for adolescents, teenagers, and adults. I definitely will be watching out for the next book in the series.
