For my class inquiry this term we are studying the Holocaust, the event in Germany that started World War 2. Adolf Hitler was the source of this great fiasco. He became the leader of the Nazi Organization, (Nazi is pronounced Naat z) and began to use this power to take control over Germany. In 1933 he became Chancellor of Germany and began his “Final Solution”, a.k.a. Use the Nazis and his new power to eliminate all Jews and to take over Europe. One of the most famous places to do with the Holocaust is Auschwitz (Osh- wits), one of the main death camps in Poland. Auschwitz eliminated roughly up to 1.1 million people and used several thousand as slave labor to work in the crematoria (Rooms made with several ovens made for burning bodies), burning any bodies that came in from the gas chambers, or to work in the factories nearby.Auschwitz even killed babies and children, just because they were not Aryan( Blonde hair and blue eyes) or because their parents were Jews. The Russians found entire warehouses full of human hair, shaved off when the people arrived, suitcases belonging to thousands of people, mountains of shoes, and many other possessions that the prisoners brought with them. That was a small snipet of what happened in the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a terrible event that marked history for a looooong time.

Wow!! Camp was so cool!! My class went down to Wellington for a whole week!!What didn’t we do is more to the point instead! My favourite place was the Capital E Sound house. We got to make our own music and video to go with it! I might be able to put it up on my blog if I have the time. We used the free version of ACID music Studio to create our sound and a version of VEGAS movie clip maker, It’s hard to remember. If the teachers that visit this blog want to book a session or if you want to view some things people have created. There is also the ONTV sessions were kids can make a T.V show. It’s lots of fun.

Just click the link I put up and choose your animals, then customise it in edit settings. Then go down to the lists of sites and things, press all, then find the site your blog is under, fill in your details, click add and click the view link. then add it in the place were it shows up. Save it and publish it, and there you go!!

I have had a great time with my student from Japan. Sadly they have left!! I was all in tears for the entire morning   I hope she will remember me. Risasnuffy3, if you are out there please reply to this .I hope you got home safely and please let me know ASAP.

My Intermediate School hosts Japanese Students each year and they go out to the students.I got one!!! Whooo!!! I will have them for a week and a half!! They are enjoying NZ a lot. I wish they could stay longer. Oops, I have to go to a Japanese lesson now. Sayonara!!
